On Sat 15 Oct 2022, the NWU Vaal Campus held the Teachers 4 Data Analysis SAS Data Fly Workshop.
Teachers from all over came together to have a fun day with SAS Data Fly. Statistics should not be seen in a mathematical mindset. It is used every day in every walk of life.
Christine Franklin is a K 12 School Level Statistic Ambassador for American Statistical Association and an elected ASA Fellow, gives insightful ways to use Stats in everyday life. She says it is not about the numbers but humanizing Stats, as seen in Project Dollar Street. (https://www.gapminder.org/dollar-street).
It is not about the numbers but how you solve the problem. Stats are all about solving the problem. Statistics should be the core of the education system. Stats should be taught at a young age, and communication is the key to having brilliant minds of the future. https://curiosity.sas.com/app/datafly
