KwaZulu-Natal Education Department Takes Action Against Criminals Targeting Educators
The KwaZulu-Natal Education Department has welcomed the arrest of three individuals linked to a recent spate of school thefts in the province. The incidents, which have targeted educators during early morning and extra classes, have affected multiple schools in the area. The Education Department is taking action to prevent further criminal activity and ensure the safety of educators.

Three men have been arrested and appeared in court in connection with a school theft at Tholulwazi High School in KwaZulu-Natal, according to the Department of Education. The incident involved intruders who entered the school premises, terrorizing educators and stealing all their valuables. The arrest has been welcomed and applauded by the Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal, who have seen a growing trend of criminals targeting educators, particularly during early morning and extra classes.

MEC Mbali Frazer commented on the situation, stating that the department is pleased with the arrest of the individuals, as it is an important step in stopping this criminal behavior. This week, Dlamuzi High School, under the Pinetown District, experienced the same type of incident, where intruders entered the school and took all their valuables. Other schools affected by similar crimes include Nchanga Primary School, Sithumba Primary School, Ndlulamithi High School, Ubhedu Primary School, and Nazareth Primary School, all under the Pinetown District.

MEC Frazer added that this trend needs to be addressed promptly, as it poses a significant threat to the Department's Academic Improvement Plans, which involve early morning and afternoon classes. The department is determined to prevent these crimes from impacting the education of students and the safety of educators.
