Midvaal Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, and representatives from Kotulong Community Centre have donated over 280 school shoes to learners at Springfield School as part of the Spread the Love campaign. Springfield School caters to learners with mild intellectual disabilities and offers vocational subjects such as Metal Work, Woodwork, Needlework, and Office Administration.
In addition to the school shoes, the Executive Mayor joined representatives from Lynca Meats and Harvest Fresh in Boitumelo, Ward 4, to donate over 50 food parcels to less privileged families and the elderly.
The Spread the Love campaign is a Mayoral Programme that aims to assist the less privileged and those in need across all 15 Wards of Midvaal Local Municipality. The campaign reflects the municipality's commitment to being a compassionate and people-centred institution.
Interested stakeholders are encouraged to partner with the municipality as they work towards uplifting the lives of the people of Midvaal.
