On Tuesday, Premier Panyaza Lesufi will spearhead the rollout of surveillance cameras along the notoriously dangerous Small Street, an area long plagued by muggings and robberies.
The launch marks a significant milestone in the province's intensified efforts to combat lawlessness and enhance public safety through the strategic deployment of cutting-edge technologies. Since April 2023, over 150 CCTV cameras have been installed across various regions in Gauteng, providing law enforcement with crucial monitoring capabilities.
